It’s Official: We Are a Five Piece (08/11/08)  -

After concluding a successful 2008 Midwest Summer Reunion Tour at Cicero's this past Saturday night, the Educated Guess have embraced a new member to our family.  Anthony Baumann, filling in on violin for live sets and playing both acoustic guitar and 2nd violin with the orchestra during the recording of our upcoming album, will now officially join the band.  We are excited and happy to be adding his many talents, eager attitude, and selfless musicianship.  Anthony is an exceptional band mate, as well as a good friend.  His valued contributions are evident all over the new record, and we're honored to have him playing with us as the Educated Guess move forward into the future.

In the meantime, we'll keep mixing, I'll keep spending, and you keep listening.  I'll drop a line here in the next few weeks as to update our progress, so have a wonderful close to your summers, and please, stay in touch.

The four to five piece rock and roll outfit recently wrapped up a successful 2008 Midwest Summer Reunion Tour, and have finished recording their third album at Smith/Lee Productions with the newly-christened Emperor Norton Orchestra as well as Scott Swartz of Caleb Travers & Big City Lights. The new record is currently being mixed by J. Christopher Hughes.
